Soles of Silk - hitchhiker

I was always told how bad it was to pick up a hitchhiker on the side of the road. But seriously, whoever told me that wasn't looking at a barefoot Layla on the side of a counrty road on a scorching hot summer day.
It took some time to get to this decolate country road and by time we did, Layla's feet were soaken wet with sweat in her boots. When she pulled them off, they were so warm, but that changed when they hit the asphalt. I can tell you from sitting on my butt taking these photos, that damn road was blazing hot and I tried my best to make this shoot quick for Layla's sake. In fact, the road was so hot that road tar stained my shorts and my white tennis shoes. What you see stuck to the soles of Layla's feet is a mix between dirt and that same road tar.
Don't you wish you had been there to pick her up and pamper those toasty toes and smelly soles?
